Oak at Stanmore Country Park

Stanmore Country Park is a large site just north of Stanmore town centre (and lying below the more open space of Wood Farm - see map at bottom of page). It is surprisingly quiet given how close it is to Stanmore, and is ecologically diverse including ancient woodland, acid grassland, wet meadows and ponds.

The site needs a volunteer warden to take care of it. This is not a terribly time consuming task - perhaps on average two days per month - but will have a real positive impact on nature and the local environment.

Duties include: You will be a member of Harrow Nature Conservation Forum and covered by their insurance.

For more information and to discuss possibilities email or phone 020 8933 2323.
