Stanmore Common Nature Trail
Short trail post 9:
On the left is a line of old oaks, much older than the young trees all around. These may once have marked the edge of a track used by commoners to remove gravel, timber or other materials that they had collected on the Common.
The next footbridge takes you over the Heathbourne Stream, the last of the Common's streams that you will encounter on the trail.
